I am a storyteller, memory keeper, designer, and woman of faith who believes that God’s love is woven into everyday life - even on a quiet back porch.

Inspired by her own backyard in Cypress, Texas, and dedicated to her son Ryan, Janet created Lenny the Lizard’s Backyard Adventures to help children see God’s hand in both small and big moments.

When she isn’t writing or creating, Janet enjoys nature walks, memory keeping, reading, bible journaling, photography, reading, coffee and finding beauty in the ordinary everyday gifts of God’s creation.

She has shared life with her husband for 36 years, a journey marked by deep love, commitment, and faith in God’s steady hand. Together, they raised a son who now works as a professional photographer for Disney and ESPN - something that fills her with both pride and joy. Yet, with her son grown and thriving, Janet has found the empty nest season to be both rewarding and unexpectedly hard to navigate.

Her days are now devoted to being the sole caregiver for her husband, who faces the challenges of Parkinson’s disease and stage 3 prostate cancer. The retirement years they once envisioned together have taken a very different path, but Janet embraces this journey with courage, grace, and steadfast faith.

In the midst of trials, she has discovered that God’s love writes new chapters of strength, patience, and unexpected blessings. Out of these experiences was born her children’s series, Lenny the Lizard’s Adventures. Through Lenny’s stories, Janet weaves Christian lessons about faith, friendship, courage, and love, creating gentle reminders that God is always with us - even in the smallest corners of our own backyards. Her hope is that Lenny’s adventures will spark joy, inspire young hearts, and remind families that God’s Word can guide us through every season of life.  Mission Statement Through the playful adventures of a tiny lizard with a big heart, Janet hopes to plant seeds of faith in children’s lives. Each Lenny the Lizard story is built around a simple truth of Scripture - teaching little hearts about love, trust, kindness, humility, and God’s never-ending care. Her prayer is that these books will not only entertain but also open conversations between parents and children about God’s Word, helping families grow in faith together.
